Copyrights

The “Copyrights” kit revolves around the legal rights enjoyed by authors and creators across various fields to protect their original works published online — such as articles, images, videos, software, and designs. This precisely defines electronic copyright, which aims to ensure that content is not used or republished without permission, while preserving the ownership rights of the original creator.

The kit addresses the types of copyright, which fall into two main categories: moral rights — including the author’s right to be credited for their work and to prevent any distortion or alteration of its content — and economic rights, which allow the creator to profit from their work through sales, licensing, or publication.

With the advancement of the digital environment and the ease of copying and sharing content without regulation, protecting these rights from all forms of infringement has become increasingly important. This is achieved through the use of encryption technologies and digital watermarks to verify content ownership, as well as by enabling privacy settings on online platforms and registering works with official bodies that document copyright ownership.

The kit aims to raise awareness among users—especially children and young people—about the importance of respecting creative rights and avoiding the use, copying, or sharing of any content without the owner’s permission. It also teaches how to benefit from legal content sources, such as websites that provide licensed materials for use, since respecting copyright laws encourages creativity and motivates creators to continue producing valuable content in the long run.
