Training Games Guide

Training games are an effective tool in education, particularly for children and adolescents, as they combine learning with entertainment, motivating players to engage with the game and acquire information. They are considered one of the most effective interactive training tools, especially when played in groups. Group games have a strong ability to stimulate cognitive and competitive interaction among players, which supports achieving the main objective of the game: delivering information to students within a framework of competition and enjoyment.

as part of the Cyber Eco Project, these games are used under the indirect supervision of trainers. To help trainers guide students and evaluate their performance, this guide offers complete information about each game and clear evaluation methods.

The concept of the guide is based on the necessity of providing trainers with the required knowledge to handle the training games, along with a detailed explanation of each game so that the trainer can effectively explain it to the students. The guide also includes a methodology for evaluating students’ performance in the games. When students play the training games, the trainer must assess their performance, particularly their cognitive performance, and observe their ability to apply the information they were trained on within the games. Overall, the games rely on the students’ ability to utilize the knowledge and information provided to them, and winning in the games primarily depends on the students’ digital knowledge base — the larger the student’s knowledge base, the higher their ability to succeed in the games.

The guide derives its importance from the significance of training games and their role in supporting and enhancing students’ digital knowledge base, as well as in evaluating students’ performance and their ability to apply the information and concepts they have been trained on. Its importance also comes from the necessity of providing trainers with detailed information about each training game, enabling them to guide students on how to play, and from the need to equip trainers with a methodology for assessing performance in the training games and observing and evaluating students’ ability to utilize their digital knowledge base within the games.
